As Managing Director and founder of Spartan Gardening, Liam is the driving force behind the company’s growth and reputation for excellence. With a passion for efficiency and a knack for keeping things running like clockwork, he’s the one making sure every site, schedule, and customer experience hits the highest standard.
Liam loves running and anything active, and he spends his evenings and weekends trying to keep up with his girlfriend (who’s way fitter, by his own admission). He’s obsessed with great music and always up for an adventure with his dog, Philo (the best boy).
Estif has been the cornerstone of Spartan Gardening’s growth since joining the team in 2022 after an accomplished career in the Spanish army. Known for his unwavering consistency and boundless energy, Estif handles all remaining domestic work while managing several key sites in the northern region. His dedication and reliability have made him an integral part of the team.
When he’s not working, you’ll find Estif running, cycling, swimming, or adventuring in his campervan with his wife, Nadia.
Josh became a vital member of Spartan Gardening by fully embracing the company’s philosophy of “constant evolution and improvement.” Always striving for excellence, he takes charge of the day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the ground.
At home, Josh enjoys life with his partner Jess and their two children, Mya and Luca. With two dogs and a Harris hawk to keep him company, his hands are always full—but he wouldn’t have it any other way!
After a distinguished career in the British army, Ryan joined Spartan Gardening, completing the core team of four with his meticulous and thoughtful approach. Although relatively new, his professionalism and reliability have shone through, embodying everything Spartan strives to deliver.
Outside of work, Ryan’s weekends are spent enjoying live music with his partner, Harriet, showcasing his impeccable taste in bands.
Philo is Spartan Gardening’s resident mood-booster and all-around good boy. As Chief Happiness Officer, he takes it upon himself to greet every operative at the yard with maximum tail wags and enthusiasm—no one escapes his rounds of joy. Fun, silly, and bursting with energy, Philo’s favourite hobbies include shoe-stealing (apologies in advance), chasing anything that’s thrown, and making sure everyone gets a little extra love on busy days.
Gentle and loveable, Philo brings a playful spirit to the team and never misses a chance for a cuddle or a sunny nap. Whether he’s tagging along for site visits (in his hi-vis of course) or just brightening the office, Philo keeps smiles high and stress low. The real secret to Spartan Gardening’s rock’n’roll vibe?
